A 30 to 60 minutes aerobic workout can burn up to 500 calories, which, you have to agree, is extremely beneficial for losing those unwanted pounds. Not to mention that these exercises do wonders for body shape and have a very positive health impact. Aerobic training improves heart and lungs function, speeds up the metabolism, prevents many diseases and increases the level of strength. That’s why it should be conducted at least two to three times per day, but the best is to make it your daily habit.

To do your aerobic training you don’t have to visit the gym or go outside. You can do everything in the comfort of your own home. That way you can always do your training with maximum comfort and there are no excuses like “ I don’t have time to go to the gym now. “ or, “ The weather is terrible, I will do my training some other day.”

However, doing your aerobics routine at home does require some preparations. First, you have to evaluate your fitness level. If you haven’t exercised before then you should start with easy 20 minutes sessions, but if you already have some exercising background you can do a moderate 30 minutes training or even more. The most important thing is not to over force yourself in the start and to avoid possible injuries.  Always do the warm-up and cool-down session to prevent injuries and reduce muscle aches. You must leave enough time for the muscles to adapt to exercising and relax after it. Without that, you routine will not be so effective and you can even sustain permanent injuries.

There are many exercising tapes and CDs on the market, so you can choose your routine or even get few different ones for different fitness levels. At first, doing all those coordinated movements may be hard and confusing, but don’t worry, you will get used to it soon. The training is, also, often followed by motivating music so it resembles dancing and you will actually start to enjoy it, like going to clubs and partying. Your ultimate goal should be to make aerobic exercises your daily routine in which you will actually enjoy. That way you will do your trainings often and with motivation and the good results will definitely come- whether it’s weight loss, body shaping or just remaining fit.
